Portland Stage System Design (Hypothetical)
What is the best way to improve an already existing production house? As a project for a graduate-level system design project, I was tasked with putting together a speaker package and system design centered around D&B AudioTechnik for Maine's Portland Stage, with a focus on how to arrange an array system. The attached proposal details what equipment would be best chosen, with the specifications included.
JACK Brooklyn System Design (Hypothetical)
What system can fit any and all needs of a black box theater space? As another project for a graduate-level system design project, we were tasked with putting together a speaker package and system design centered around a certain speaker brand for the theater company that our professor helped found: JACK NYC- Brooklyn. I was assigned the brand Mackie and have put together a hypothetical package that was eventually submitted to the theater for consideration.
Personal Sound Studio (Hypothetical)
If you could have your ideal home studio, what would it look like? In another project for a graduate-level system design class, I was tasked with putting together my dream studio optimized to my personal tastes with an unlimited budget (which I took full advantage of).
Lewitt Sound Mixing Contests
The Lewitt Audio company regularly releases multi-track packs for mixers and designers everywhere to download and mix, master, and edit their own versions in a competition for the prize of studio-quality equipment. Here are several of my own entries! I find these to be a fun way to flex my mixing muscles outside of professional projects and to make sure that any ear training I have stays consistent.
